Ίσως το επιδραστικότερο progressive metal συγκρότημα όλων των εποχών, οι FATES WARNING ουσιαστικά δημιούργησαν το ιδίωμα πίσω στα 1984, συνδυάζοντας στοιχεία από το heavy metal και το παραδοσιακό progressive rock. Κάνοντας ένα διάλειμμα από τις εργασίες για την ηχογράφηση του ενδέκατου album τους, το οποίο αναμένεται να κυκλοφορήσει το καλοκαίρι του 2010, και με αφορμή την επερχόμενη επανακυκλοφορία του κλασικού τους album "Parallels", οι Fates Warning επισκέπτονται τη χώρα μας για δύο πολύ ιδιαίτερες βραδιές!
Για πολύ περιορισμένο αριθμό εμφανίσεων, η κλασική σύνθεση του συγκροτήματος, αυτή που ηχογράφησε αριστουργήματα όπως το "Parallels", επανασυνδέεται. Πέρα από τον "σκληρό πυρήνα" των Jim Matheos και Ray Alder, επί σκηνής θα βρεθούν μαζί τους όχι μόνο ο Frank Aresti, που τα τελευταία χρόνια έτσι κι αλλιώς εμφανίζεται συχνά live με τη μπάντα, αλλά επίσης ο αρχικός μπασίστας τους, Joe DiBiase και ο θρυλικός ντράμερ Mark Zonder. Αυτή είναι η πρώτη φορά που οι πέντε αυτοί μουσικοί θα παίξουν μαζί εδώ και 15 χρόνια.
Οι εκπλήξεις όμως δεν σταματούν εδώ: Στις συναυλίες αυτές το συγκρότημα, για πρώτη και πιθανότατα για τελευταία φορά, θα παίξει ζωντανά ολόκληρο το "Parallels" album. Και όχι μόνο αυτό, αλλά στην Ελλάδα οι Fates Warning θα παίξουν και μερικά ακόμη θρυλικά τραγούδια τους από την περίοδο 1989-1994, τα οποία οι περισσότεροι οπαδοί τους δεν έχουν ακούσει ποτέ live! Με άλλα λόγια, αυτές τις συναυλίες δεν πρέπει να χάσει κανένας φίλος του συγκροτήματος, αλλά και του heavy metal γενικότερα.
